Spring refuses to spring

Rather than do a "Spring is springing" story, I thought it would be interesting to do a "Spring refuses to spring" story by talking with students on campus about the continuing cold temperatures and what they're doing to adapt to the bleak weather that's lasted, to date, almost halfway through April. Let me know if this is newsworthy story, or if anybody knows anybody who's done crazy things to make up for the cold weather, e.g., started sunbathing inside, wears a swimming suit to shower just to feel like he/she is swimming, etc. Thanks.
Kevin: The Spring is (Un)Sprung story might work, depending on how you went at it. Unfortunately (??), though, the forecast if doe 60s+ this weekend, so the story might be over before you get it done.
If you do want to try it, though, I'd get in touch with meteorologists (there are weather experts in the College of Ag, and/or NOAA, and try one of the SLC TV weathermen--that'd be fun!)for historical weather patterns--has it really been colder than usual? And then you'd want to frame the story to include the forecast for warmer weather next week, so maybe Spring is coming after all....?
